Summary
Ethan Wate thought he was getting used to the strange, impossible events happening in Gatlin, his small Southern town. But now that Ethan and Lena have returned home, strange and impossible have taken on new meanings. Swarms of locusts, record-breaking heat, and devastating storms ravage Gatlin as Ethan and Lena struggle to understand the impact of Lena's Claiming. Even Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals is affected - and their abilities begin to dangerously misfire. As time passes, one question becomes clear: What - or who - will need to be sacrificed to save Gatlin?
For Ethan, the chaos is a frightening but welcome distraction. He's being haunted in his dreams again, but this time it isn't by Lena - and whatever is haunting him is following him out of his dreams and into his everyday life. Even worse, Ethan is gradually losing pieces of himself - forgetting names, phone numbers, even memories. He doesn't know why, and most days he's too afraid to ask.
Sometimes there isn't just one answer or one choice. Sometimes there's no going back. And this time there won't be a happy ending.

Review
Plot: Ever since the first book came out, this has always been a complex series. That's one thing I love about it! It's complicated and makes you think. In this last one, Ethan is starting to change, along with his whole life. His best friend is an incubus (kind of like a vampire) his girlfriend is half a dark cast, half light, and Amma- the woman who raised him- wont tell him anything. Gatlin is changing along with everyone else and there are lots of new bad guys. It's confusing, but if you can keep up, it's amazing.

Characters: I always forget that it's Ethan that's the main character and not Lena as well. They are both so connected at all times that they seem like one person! I love them! They are one of my all time favorite relationships. Their love is so sweet and everything is so unconditional about them. But they also have their silly jealous fights so it makes them seem real. I also love Link and Ridley. Link can be annoying since he thinks he's "all that" but his heart is honestly in the right place. Ridley is a BA ex-siren who believes she still can use her siren powers to control humans. I love her. Period.

Cover: It's basically the same as the first two, just yellow. Nothing too special, but I like it. I love the font and it really goes with the story well in my opinion.

Closing Thoughts: This series is now at the top of my favorite list. I love (LOVE) the relationship between Ethan and Lena. The plot has amazing twists and though it's about casters and incubuses (like witches and vampires) it's a very unique read. It's almost impossible to predict what will happen. Although, you will absolutely hate the ending. I mean... I can't even describe how big of a cliff-hanger that was. But it's worth reading for sure!

Sweet Daydreams,
Brooke

Q: Let’s talk crazy book titles! Highlight one or two (or as many as you like!) titles in your personal collection that have the most interesting titles! If you can’t find any, feel free to find one on the internet! A: I'll stay true and look at my bookshelf. I don't have any crazy titles, but one that I got for my birthday is The Element Encyclopedia of Vampires: An A-Z of the Undead by Theresa Cheung . My sister bought it for me since she said this is "exactly" what I needed. Q: How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently? A: I love romance! I think that I'm a hopeless romantic, so I NEED romance. I can't get into a book if it has absolutely no romance. I've always been into urban fantasy, romance, and Young Adult, but I think I'm getting into more historical fiction. Q: Author Block Party: If you could gather a handful of authors to hang out with, who would you ...
